Stop-A-Flat
Stop-A-Flat is an environmentally friendly liquid formula, not a goo, paste or slime. The unique liquid formula coats all surfaces of the wheel and tire sealing all leaks not just the tread area of the tire like other sealants. The liquid formula is evenly distributed by the properties of centrifugal force on the tread area of the tire when the wheel is in motion thus maintaining a consistent and critical balance of the wheel and tire in motion. In addition, Stop-A-Flat coats the sidewalls and wheel at slow speeds sealing all leaks including porosity, sidewall, bead and valve stem leaks. This insures the tire maintains a consistent pressure which is critical to tire life. Goos, pastes and slimes can settle in tires on hot days causing balance problems. In addition, they only protect the tread area of the tire.
A standard 15 inch car tire only requires 4 ounces of Stop-A-Flat unlike the other goos, slimes and pastes that require from 10 to 20 ounces per tire which can cause balance problems at higher speeds if the product is left in the tire. In addition, Stop-A-Flat can easily be worked around or simply wiped out with one shop rag if major tire repair is required unlike other sealants which are a real mess to clean out.
